I’ll be completely honest, it took me a long time to get into the liquid lipstick scene!! I know, I know, it’s crazy, but the reason for that is because I didn’t really know which brand to try and I was a bit intimidate by the whole thing. While I did try a liquid lipstick a few years ago, it wasn’t too popular and I didn’t wear it much since the shade was dark and at that time I was still getting used to deeper shades. Anyway, I finally tried a liquid lipstick in August or September since it came my Birchbox.
I really loved the lipstick I had received, which was the Stay All Day Liquid Lipstick in Patina by Stila. I decided to do a little bit of browsing to see which color I would get next. Two shades caught my attention: Ricco and Bacca. I wanted to see how they each compared to each other so I googled swatches. In my search, I stumbled upon a post which said that while they loved the shade for Bacca, they didn’t really like the application.
Because of that, I decided I would buy Ricco, but when I saw Bacca in person, I just had to have it. I took a chance and decided to buy the lipstick even if I had heard negative comments on it. I’ve had this lipstick now for about 2-3 months. Keep reading to find out if it indeed sucked or if it exceeded my expectations!! Enjoy!
This intro was long, I know, but I really wanted to set the scene for the lipstick, haha!
I was actually nervous the first time I applied it because I so badly wanted it to work and not fail. I was quickly relived of those nerves when I saw how pretty it went on my lips!! The color is super pigmented and you only need to dip the wand once for enough color.
I am super in love with the shade and the color stay put all day long and it never makes my lips look dry!! It lipstick does retail at $24 but I would say that it is worth every penny.
I absolutely love this liquid lipstick and I recommend it to everyone!!
Have you tried Bacca by Stila or any other liquid lipstick in their Stay All Day line?
P.S. If you’ve been wondering where I have been, you can check out this post!!
