Healthy Me: Working Out | Blogmas Day 5β„οΈπŸŽ…πŸΌπŸŽ„πŸŽ

When trying to lose weight or just live a healthier life working out is essential! While many go to the gym or have gym equipment where they live and enjoy working out in with that equipment, to me it gets boring quick!

In order to workout out frequently you need to find an activity that you enjoy.  So for example, if I get on a treadmill I dread every minute and probably won’t use it the next day so it’s just a disservice to me.  Because of this I have decided to share the what workouts I do that make working out fun for me.  Enjoy!

Working Out | Healthy Me

Walking: My favorite way to get moving is by simply taking walks.  This can be enjoyed alone or with the company of others.  If I walk alone I make sure to have my favorite music playing.  Most of the time though I walk with my sister and it’s a great way to catch up with each other.  You can also use this time to walk your dog.

Exercise Guides: When I want to get more of an intense workout I really like to use guides.  My favorite are from Blogilates and from Kayla Itsines.  The reason I like guides so much is because I have the workouts I’m supposed to do and I don’t have to come up with a routine of my own.  Right now I am really liking the Kayla Itsines Bikini Body Guide because it’s a 30 minute circuit and each section is 7 minutes four times plus a cool down.  I like this because it makes it go faster knowing that after seven minutes I get either a 30 second or 60 second break.  Her guide does cost money but you can try a week for free.  The Blogilates guides are completely free you just have to sign up to get the password for the monthly guides.  Both of these are great plus the videos for Blogilates are sometimes funny so they make working out super enjoyable.

Just Dance Video Games:  Like I mentioned in my November Favorites, I love Just Dance Games.  I have always liked dancing so this is a great way to workout.  Because dancing is cardio, I sometimes like to do a plank or other strength training workouts between songs.  This is great way to workout because you can start slow and then work your way to more intense songs.  I always like to cool down with a slow song after I finish my dancing session.  My favorite cool down song is Something Stupid by Robbie Williams and Nicole Kidman from Just Dance 3. Do you like playing Just Dance?

So those are three ways that I workout that do not require a gym and make me want to workout out even more.

What is your favorite way to workout?
